My assumptions regarding Self Care and Our World:
Trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, grief, unhealthy life/work balance, overuse of technology and excessive anger are just some of the realities people struggle with everyday. These realities are having a real and lasting negative impact on the health of us all.
Self Care can help to build resilience, promote healing and develop a strong sense of self, all of which can have a positive impact on a person’s overall health.
Taking self care seriously and integrating it into each of our daily lives will not only help us but also our families, our communities and our world.
When properly viewed, understood and practiced self care can bring a great deal of healing, hope and happiness to each of us and our world.
